In 2013 the Rae family adopted a puppy named Eli. Ron and Barrett wanted a safe, loving place to leave him while they traveled — and when they couldn't find one, they built it.
Today Eli's Friends is a family-owned and family-operated home for dogs and cats from across Wayne County. The same care that started this place still runs it: clean facilities, attentive staff, and the belief that pets deserve to feel loved, not just looked after.
